THIS IS MIA....and Mia is truly lucky to be alive. This precious 5 month old (DOB 10/2017), white, 4-5 lb presently, Maltese mix was brought to us almost dead :( She was hypoglycemic, which caused her to lose her eyesight; with Parvo, giardia and coccidia....three very severe gastrointestinal infections. After a month in the hospital and a month with us, this little angel is doing remarkably well! You can watch her video and see that she has a wonderful temperament and vitality! She is sweet as she can be and LOVES other dogs. She probably doesn't have any depth perception but she romps like a bunny...loves to explore....loves to play with her humans and dogs...she is a very special little girl and seems to be almost fully recovered! She is eating and drinking normally and is such a blast to watch as she "tiptoes thru the tulips!" Mia could go into almost any home except a senior home that wouldn't have patience with her. She will need to be monitored and worked with since she is blind...you will be her eyes or your little dog will be!! We would not place her in a home with a large dog, as she is very petite. Is this a lady you would like to get to know? She wants to know you!!

Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!
